Symptoms

In the Flexnet operation producer portal when we try to change the count of a feature or state of the Entitlement or line item and delete an account, we get an error "Need LFS connection to move ahead. Please make sure the LFS URL is present in the configuration."

NOTE: This use case applies only when the LFS URL is configured correctly under system ->configure-> Flexnet Operations -> External Services Configuration -> License Fulfillment Service URL.

Diagnosis

Go to the location C:\Program Files\FlexNet Operations\components\wildfly\standalone\deployments and see the deployed files, if we see only lfs.war.failed then we see this error regularly.

Solution

To fix this error, undeploy Flexnet operation and then deploy again and make sure both .ear and .war files like flexnet.ear.deployed and lfs.war.deployed are correctly deployed.
