Hotfix to add support for VMware vSphere 6.5

Summary

The hotfix adds support for VMware vCenter 6.5 and drops support for VMware vSphere ESX/ESXi 3.0.x as well as vCenter Server 2.0.x and earlier.

Synopsis

The attached hotfix provides on-premises customers of FlexNet Manager Suite the ability to integrate with:
- VMware vCenter Server 6.5
- VMware vSphere ESX/ESXi 6.5

However it also removes integration with:
- VMware vCenter Server 2.0.x and earlier
- VMware vSphere ESX/ESXi 3.0.x and earlier

Once installed, the supported versions of VMware vSphere are:
VMware vCenter Server
2.5 to 6.5
VMware vSphere ESX/ESXi
3.5 to 6.5

Discussion

This hotfix is designed for use only with Cloud and On-premises FlexNet Manager Suite releases:
- 2016 R1 SP1
- 2017 R1



Additional Information

FlexNet Manager Suite 2017 R2 and later releases do not require installation of this hotfix to integrate with VMware vSphere 6.5
FlexNet Manager Suite Cloud includes support for VMware vSphere 6.5



Installation

To install the hotfix, download this file and follow the instructions contained in the readme.txt file and apply the update to your inventory beacon(s).
