Synopsis

Certain features of Windows Installer require a specific version of Windows Installer. Depending on the operating systems that you are planning to support, you may need to include the Windows Installer Engine as a Prerequisite.

If you need to include Windows Installer with your installation package you can do so by using the provided InstallShield Prerequisites. These will be found within the Redistributables view, as shown here:


NOTE: You will want to include this as a setup prerequisite, so that it can be installed before your MSI package is run.
