Synopsis

Sometimes scheduled Report Designer (Cognos) reports don't run as scheduled due to failed credential sync.

Discussion

To change default credential renewal frequency in IBM Cognos Configuration:

1) Launch IBM Cognos Configuration. Typically its located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\ReportDesigner\c10\bin folder. The file to run is cogconfig.bat or cogconfig.exe

2) Select Security > Authentication > Advanced properties.

3) Click Add in Advanced properties and for Name enter 'expiryRenewedTC' and for value enter 7. See screenshot. This setting will sync credentials every 7 days instead of daily (the default).
