You can control the VM selection for an uninstaller or launcher using the Advanced tab in the action's customizer.Synopsis
By default, the uninstaller, as well as any LaunchAnywhere executable in your project, will use the VM selected by the installer or by the end user if a Choose Java VM panel has been included in the Pre-Install sequence. This behavior can be configured so that a different Java VM is used.Discussion
To change the Java VM selection behavior used by an Uninstaller, go to: Sequence > Install > Create Uninstaller action > Properties view > Advanced Settings tabTo change the Java VM selection behavior used by a LaunchAnywhere, go to: Sequence > Install > Create LaunchAnywhere for Java Application action > Properties view > Advanced Settings tab
The Advanced Settings tab controls the VM selection for the uninstaller or launcher and includes the following options:
Configure LaunchAnywhere with:
- VM Selected by the Installer or by the End User via Choose VM Panel
- VM Used by the Installer
- The First VM Found in the System Matching the VM Search Settings Defined Under Project >Java
- No Specific VM (Allow LaunchAnywhere to Search for a VM Based on its lax.nl.valid.vm.list Property)
