Default settings:

• For Data Platform/logs/*.log, the maximum file size is set to 10 MB.
• For User Console/Logs/*.log, the maximum file size is set to 2 MB.
• The rollover value is 100 by default.

When a log file exceeds the default size, it is renamed using the original name plus a timestamp (for example, catalina.2021-02-16.log) or by appending a number at the end (for example, BDNA.log.1). Up to 100 backup copies of each log file can be kept.

Steps to update the log file size and rollover value:

1. Stop the service.
2. Open the configuration file:
   • For Data Platform logs: .../Data Platform/Bin/log.config
   • For User Console logs: .../User Console/Bin/log.config
3. Update the values of the following nodes:
   

   <maxSizeRollBackups value="100" /> 
   <maximumFileSize value="2MB" />

   Change these values as needed for your requirements.
4. Start the service.

The log file size and rollover settings are updated as specified in the configuration files.
