Starting with patchset 5.5.60, Data Platform and User Console require a minimum version of Microsoft .NET Framework. The required version depends on the patchset version you are running. Using an older version may cause configuration issues during installation or setup.

Requirements:

Before installing or upgrading Data Platform or User Console, ensure you have the correct .NET Framework version installed for your patchset:

• Patchsets 5.5.60 to 5.5.77 — upgrade to .NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher before proceeding.
  Download .NET Framework 4.7.2
• Patchset 5.5.78 and later (including 5.6.0) — upgrade to .NET Framework 4.8 or higher before proceeding.
  Download .NET Framework 4.8

If the correct .NET Framework version is not installed, you will encounter errors during the installation or setup of Data Platform and User Console.
