Synopsis

When adding a merge module in a project, custom actions in the merge module can be scheduled in one of two ways. This article discusses how to schedule the custom action in the InstallShield IDE rather than editing the tables in the merge module.

Discussion

Once a merge module is added to a project, navigate to Custom Actions and Sequences view.
In either the User Interface or Execute section, right click on one of the actions and select "Insert...".
In the drop down, select Merge Module Custom Actions. The merge module custom action should be added after the action that right click was performed on.

Once scheduled, the Sequence Number and Condition can be edited..
