How to setup FlexNet Operations On-Premises to redirect producer log in page from the default home page to the entitlement page instead.

Question

We recently upgraded to FlexNet Operations On-Premises 2018 and now when we log in we see a home page rather than the list of entitlements as before. Is there a way to change this so what when producers log in they are taken straight to the List Entitlements by order page?

Answer

With the end user portal, you can enable this via the portal by clicking on System, then Configure, then End-User Portal Setup, then check the box labeled "Skip Home Page" to skip the Home page after login and proceed directly to the Entitlements page.

With the producer portal, we implemented a feature called "deep linking" with FlexNet Operations 2017 R3 or R4 so it should work in 2018 R1.

If you use the link to any page (bookmark or otherwise) it will take you that page after login irrespective of System Config flag. The only caveat for this is if the target page is the result of a form submission, then that page will not display properly. But the landing pages should work fine with this feature.
