Summary

FlexNet Operations On-Premises error: 'Only users belonging to home organization can log in'.

Symptoms

After adding a new user the following FlexNet Operations On-Premises error is sometimes experienced -

"Only users belonging to home organization can log in"

Cause

The error is normally encountered when a user who is not a member of the Home Organisation (usually MYORG) tries to logon to the Admin Portal rather than the customer portal, ie

http://server_name:8888/flexnet/operations/logon.do

http://server_name:8888/flexnet/operationsportal/logon.do

Resolution

Either logon to the customer portal if this is the required behaviour or add the user to the home organisation rather than the customer organisation in Admin functions are required.
