Summary

FlexNet Operations On-Premises error: "Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true"

Symptoms

After making the change in FlexNet Operations On-Premises and running the command flexnet site it displays the following message :

Copying 1 file to F:\Apps\Flexnet\operations\custom\bin

Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
Result: 2
Successfully uninstalled service FlexNet Operations
Deleting directory F:\Apps\Flexnet\operations\site
Copying 6 files to F:\Apps\Flexnet\operations\site
Copying 1871 files to F:\Apps\Flexnet\operations\site

Cause

This message is displayed when machine is set to work IPv6.

Resolution

As FlexNet Operations works with only IPv4 rather than IPv6. If the machine is set to work with IPv6, FNO will only pick up the IPv4 and its indicated by message. I guess there is no harm in seeing this message.
