Synopsis

This article describes the steps needed to sequence a dialog after SetupProgress and prior to SetupCompleteSuccess in a InstallShield Basic MSI project.

Discussion

A dialog can be inserted prior to SetupCompleteSuccess according to the following steps:

1. Create a new dialog in the User Interface | Dialogs view of a Basic MSI project. Select an Interior dialog and do not include it a sequence.

2. Expand the dialog and select its Behavior node.

3. Select the dialog's Next button. Add an event in the following format:

   Event	Argument	Condition
   EndDialog	Return	1

   This correctly calls the SetupCompleteSuccess dialog when clicking the Next button.

4. Disable the back button by selecting the English node of the dialog, selecting the Back button, and setting its Enabled attribute to False.

5. Expand the Installation | User Interface view in the Behavior and Logic | Sequences view.

6. Right-click ExecuteAction and select Insert.

7. Select Dialogs and finally the dialog created in Step 1.

This calls the dialog after the Execute Sequence and prior to SetupCompleteSuccess.
