Is it possible to change the hostid type of the prebuilt Flexnet Embedded (FNE) license server? The only options available seem to be Flexid and Mac address.

Answer

At the moment it is not possible to change the hostid type of the license server other than to the predefined types(Mac address, flexid).

If an alternative hostid type is required then it would involve using the FNE API to develop an alternative license server configuration.
