Is it possible to transfer licenses between two servers?

Answer

No it is not possible to transfer licenses from a license file between the two servers.

Customer may consider these options:

1. Triad Server or Redundant Server where three server involves, if the Master goes down then Secondary server becomes Master. Same License File runs on all three servers.
2. You may send two License Files encrypted with half the seeds (split quantity of each feature) on each licenses and have them start each license on two servers and client can point to both License servers. If the Quantity of requested feature is not available in one server then it will checkout from another one.
3. Example of setting the environment variable to point to both server for windows:
   >SET VENDOR_LICENSE_FILE=port1@host1;port2@host2 (where port and host are the lmgrd pots and server names of each server)
4. It is possible to trnasfer licenses between servers if using Trusted Storage based licenses
