Is there a way to have multiple part numbers per entitlement?

Question

When creating an entitlement for a customer, I select multiple Products (each mapped to a different part number but the same license model). Then, when I want to select the part number for the entitlement, I can only select one-- is there a way to have multiple part numbers per entitlement?

Answer

Yes, you can have multiple part-number for same product . Under package product look for "Manage Part Number"



Adding Part Numbers
FlexNet Operations 2014
To add a new part number
1. Click Manage Part Numbers, then click Add.
2. In Part Number, enter the new part number.
3. In Description, enter a brief description of this part number.
4. In Product Name, click Search to search for a product and license model which you wish to map the new part number.
5. Click Save to save the number, or click Add New Part Number to continue adding part numbers .
To delete a part number
1. Select the part number to delete and click Delete.
2. Click OK to confirm deletion.
To map a part number to a product
1. Select the part number and click Map to Product.
2. On the Select Product page, select the product you wish to map to.
3. In the License Model drop-down, select the license model.
4. Click OK. The part number is now mapped to the product
