Summary

If directories with the same path names (excluding the drive letter) exist on multiple drives, inventory gathered by the agent will only include details of files included in the directory from one of the drives.

Details

As an example to illustrate the effect of this issue, consider a Windows computer that has the following directories:

• C:\Program Files
• E:\Program Files

If the agent is configured to gather file details in inventory from both drives (for example, but configuring the agent’s IncludeDirectory preference with the value “\”), the file details will only be gathered from one of these directories.

Affected versions

This issue affects FlexNet inventory agent versions 17.2 (2021 R1.2) and later.

This issue has been fixed in the following FlexNet Manager Suite releases: 2022 R1.6 / Sep 2022 (Cloud), 2022 R2 (On Premises)
