Discussion

The Microsoft .NET Framework redistributable package installs the .NET Framework runtime and associated files that are required to run and develop applications to target the .NET Framework.
Newer versions of the .NET Framework work side by side with older Framework versions. Applications that are based on earlier versions of the Framework will continue to run on the version targeted by default.
Within InstallShield you include the .Net Framework as a prerequisite. The view within InstallShield to use various prerequisites is based on the InstallShield product version.
If you do not have the *.prq files please download the attachment below: public_DotNetFramework4_0.zip. Extract the *.prq files contained in the download to the prerequisite location. By default, the directory holding the prerequisites is located at: "C:\Program Files\InstallShield\<version>\SetupPrerequisites\"
