Symptoms

FlexNet Manager Suite is unable to determine edition information for the Adobe application 'Acrobat DC'.

Cause

FlexNet Manager Suite was unable to detect editions because the way that Adobe software is packaged and licensed is different to other applications. This is due to the components, such as executables and binaries, being the same across editions without any other identifiable information.

Resolution

As of FlexNet Manager Suite 2018 R1, application recognition for Adobe DC (Document Cloud) applications has been added for customers using FlexNet inventory only (for example, collected by FlexNet inventory agent, FlexNet Inventory Scanner, or zero-footprint inventory collection).

Please note that this does not include recognition of trial installations of Adobe DC applications.
