Summary

When building FlexNet Publisher toolkit v11.12 for x64_lsb using gcc 4.4.7 , when trying to build an executable that links the library fails with an error message : (new_AuthFNP.o)(.eh_frame); no .eh_frame_hdr table will be created.

When building FlexNet Publisher toolkit v11.12 for x64_lsb using gcc 4.4.7 , when trying to build an executable that links the library fails with an error message : (new_AuthFNP.o)(.eh_frame); no .eh_frame_hdr table will be created.

Cause

It fails because it was build on unsupported gcc 4.47

It works fine with supported version of gcc RHEL:

4.1.2 (RHEL 5.0)

4..4.4(RHEL 6.0)

4.4.6(RHEL 6.3)

Resolution

To resolve this issue please add -fPIC and -shared to the complier option.
