This KB article lists handy commands to quickly check the health status of your Software Vulnerability Manager on-premises environment. We will update the article over time, so feel free to bookmark it.
Use these commands to check the health of your Software Vulnerability Manager (SVM) On-Prem server. Use them to check system resources, SVM services, synchronization, connectivity, and logs when troubleshooting server issues.
Check system resources
Check available memory
Run the following command to view memory information for the server:
cat /proc/meminfo
Monitor system resource usage
Run the following command to monitor system resource usage in real time:
top
Check disk space
Run the following command to view disk space usage:

Check the SVM version
Run the following command to view the installed SVM RPM packages:
rpm -qa | grep csi
Check SVM synchronization with the Flexera vulnerabilities repository
Check the sync.log file to determine whether your SVM On-Prem server is downloading advisory updates from Flexera servers:
tail -n 30 /usr/local/Secunia/csi/log/sync.log
Test the connection to the Flexera vulnerabilities repository
Run the following command to test connectivity to the Flexera synchronization service:
curl -v https://sync.secunia.com
Review relevant logs
Review the following locations when investigating server issues:
/usr/local/Secunia/csi/logs/*
/var/log/messages
/var/log/mariadb/mariadb.log
Rerun the SVM installation script
Run the following commands to start the server configuration script:
cd /usr/local/Secunia/csi/install
