Introduction

This article provides an overview of transfer split functionlaity in FlexNet Operations ALM (Cloud).

Set the following:

TransferSplitEnabled = true
TransferSplitEnabled.TransferOrderActivationCodeToTarget = true

Step 1: Create Order for Account 1

Step 2: View Allocation

Step 3: Split Some to Account 2

Step 4: Create Server for Account 1 and Allocate Quantity on That Server

The next step is to create a server for Account 1 and allocate some quantity on that server, but don't generate. (The available count will be set in the cert from Account 1.)

Step 5: License is Not Generated

The license is not generated; the available count is deducted from the total count that is being assigned to the add-on.

Step 6: Move the Quantity Back from Account 2 to Account 1

Hence the activation code of Account 2 is on Account 1 after the transfer.

Step 7: Remap the Add-Ons on the Server

The add-ons have to be re-mapped on the server, as the Activation ID present previously is not associated to any entitlement after the transfer:
