When running a Usage Summary report, the report can fail with the following error: Unknown Error [Incident# 4269-805] Illegal character in name: ''.

This error occurs due to an issue with the HTML output in FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications 2021 R1 and FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications 2022 R1. While text and RIF format reports run without issue, when HTML is selected for the output, the report fails to run.

Solution

A hotfix has been developed to resolve this issue. Download the attached zip file and follow the install instructions in the readme.txt file. The attached hotfix also resolves two identified reporting issues regarding feature usage and corrects discrepancies in max usage within Usage Summary, Peak Usage, and Denial reports.

IMPORTANT: If you're using FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications 2021 R1, you must have service pack 3.1 applied in your environment before applying the attached hotfix. The service pack can be obtained through the Product & License Center.
