Synopsis

This article provides sample VB .NET code that demonstrates how to use the InstallShield and Windows Installer automation layers with the standalone build interface. This code will most likely need to be modified in most cases in order to be used for practical purposes. This particular sample will perform the following:

• Add a major upgrade item to a project
• Changed the project's product code
• Changed the project's version
• Add a new product configuration and a new release to the project
• Build a release
• Add new features and component to a project
