Will Flex handle em0 as well as eth0 ethernets correctly as expected? If not, is there any workaround that will make it work correctly and if so what is it?

Answer

In older versions of flex we use to support only eth(0) or eth(1) and customers with ethernet identities other than these, eg eth(6) etc, had to change the identities to ensure flex licensing worked correctly. With the release of Flexnet Publisher v11.11 support for ethernet interface names other than ethx was added.
