  1. Code Insight 2026 R2 is now available

    We are happy to announce the release of Code Insight 2026 R2, now available on the Product and License Center. This release includes the following product enhancements and issue fixes: 

    • Ability to add comments for tasks
    • Suppress/Unsuppress copyrights
    • Detect components from Dockerfile
    • Maven components release dates collection and filtering
    • ECCN fields for Project/Inventory items
    • Inventory custom fields to support text field and drop down. Increased custom fields to 15
    • Copy inventory items

  2. Code Insight 2026 R1 is now available

    We are happy to announce the release of Code Insight 2026 R1, now available on the Product and License Center. This release includes the following product enhancements and issue fixes:

    • Support for customized JIRA projects enabling flexible integration with JIRA to manage open items from Code Insight in JIRA
    • Improved project access controls for System Administrators to be able to lock/unlock projects
    • Ability to view inventory items that are licensed under a commercial license
    • Renewed email templates for Code Insight along with the provision to customize templates per organization standards
    • License Obligations dialog for open source components to quickly view what users ‘Must Do’, ‘Can Do’ ‘Cannot Do’ with a license helping users understand open source license obligations easily
    • Ability for users to edit PURLs for user defined components or native components for better vulnerability mapping
    • Ability to export data from Global Inventory dialog for all items and advanced search items into a csv file
    • A tasks Dashboard is now available for users to quickly view the tasks, approve/reject tasks without having to go to project inventory
    • Offline scanning support for maven projects to support air-gapped environments
    • Support for MySQL 8.4 version
    • Ability to report direct and transitive dependencies for Rust packages
    • Ability to report C/C++ components from makefiles
    • Ability for archive expansion options for codebases synced from Git repositories
    • Ability to detect and view ‘HuggingFace’ models and licenses used in the project

  5. Code Insight 2025 R2 is now available

     

    We are happy to announce the release of Code Insight 2025 R2, now available on the Product and License Center. This release includes the following product enhancements and issue fixes:

    • Support for CycloneDX 1.6 report generation
    • Collection of Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) data from CISA and ability to filter inventory items based on KEV=True/False
    • Ability to re-order core server jobs like reports, project copy, export/import, generate notices etc.
    • Ability to view inventory changes since last scan – inventory lost/gained
    • Semantic version resolution of PyPi components improving Python discovery
    • Support for detection of transitive dependencies for PyPi components
    • Ability to detect C++ packages from Conan recipes and .c files

    • Option to roll up data of child projects, in Dashboards
    • Support for new version of package-lock.json in NPM

  7. Code Insight 2024 R4 Release Is Now Available

     

    We are happy to announce the release of Code Insight 2024 R4, now available on the Product and License Center . This release includes the following product enhancements and issue fixes:

    • Ability to import third party SBOMs (SPDX & CycloneDX) into Code Insight

    • Updated VEX report to capture vulnerability analysis into the CycloneDX report

    • Ability to search inventory based on ‘Task Creator’

    • Export/Import operation now captures the dependency level and hierarchy data

    • Project copy now copies both dependency level and hierarchy data

    • New REST API to:

      • Return inventory based on a given remote alias

      • Edit/Delete a custom license

    • Create/Update inventory REST API to remember user preferred license
