In Snow License Manager, an application's Users box in the header may show 0 even though the Users tab lists users who have accessed the application. This can occur when the application is configured as No license required.
The header presents information based on the application's licensing metric, while the Users tab lists recorded application usage. These values can therefore differ.
Understand the header and Users tab
The application header contains separate information boxes. The instance box, labeled Users for the Users metric, shows the instances used in the licensing calculation. The License requirement box shows the number of licenses required for the selected metric. These are separate values.
The Users tab lists users who have used the application and when they last used it, regardless of whether the application requires a license.
The application's default metric determines its initial licensing view. When multiple metrics are available, you can select another metric from the list in the instance box. The header information then reflects the selected metric.
Trello Cloud example
In this example, Trello (Cloud) is configured with the metric No license required. The Users box in the application header displays 0, while the Users tab lists six users. The zero value does not mean that no users have accessed the application.
Canva Cloud example
In this example, Canva (Cloud) requires a license and uses the Users metric. The header displays user and licensing information for that metric.
The Users box and Users tab both show 157 users, while the separate License requirement box shows 147. The user count and the calculated license requirement should not be treated as interchangeable.
Interpret the results
The Trello example reflects its licensing configuration rather than missing user data. Check the application's metric and license requirement when comparing the header with the recorded users on the Users tab.
