Export logs from Elastigroup to Amazon S3

Elastigroup supports structured log export to Amazon S3. After logs are streamed to S3, you can configure your Elasticsearch and Kibana environment to pull logs from the bucket and index them for search and visualization.

To enable log export in your Elastigroup JSON configuration, add the following block:

The id value is the identifier of the S3 integration you created in the Flexera console.

Use Elasticsearch and Kibana with S3

After logs reach your S3 bucket, you can point your Elasticsearch ingestion pipeline to that bucket. Many users configure:

• An external ingestion job

• A Logstash pipeline using the S3 input plugin

• A custom loader or Lambda function

Once the logs are indexed, you can use Kibana to visualize trends, query logs, and build dashboards.

Ocean support

Ocean supports the same logging export structure as Elastigroup. You can add the same JSON block to enable S3 export for Ocean clusters.
