Monitor the Snow Inventory 5 Service (SnowInventoryServer5) to ensure this is running | Processes .snowpack and .inv files from the incoming/data/processing folder and submits the data to the SnowInventory database. If this process is stopped, no computers will be updated, and the number of files in the incoming folder will increase. The Active Directory connector pulls and processes all discovery data configured. | Snow Inventory Server | High | Daily
Monitor the Snow Incoming directory for .snowpack and .inv data. | This folder should be receiving most data in the mornings. Ensure data is both being processed and being added into this directory. Processed files disappear. | 7 | Review all SIM connectors to ensure they are still testing successfully (if applicable) | The Snow Integraion Manager will connect to 3rd party datasources or provide data to other systems. Ensure this can still perform the steps by testing connections for all connectors. | Snow Inventory Server (This is default location of this tool. It may be installed elsewhere) | High | Weekly
Monitor the Snow Integration Manager (SnowIntegrationManager) to ensure this is running | It is responsible of the scheduling of all SIM connectors. | Snow Inventory Server (This is default location of this tool. It may be installed elsewhere) | High | Weekly
Review Snow Integration Manager logs for errors | Review the logs for the Snow Integration Manager to ensure the automatic aggregation of data from the SIM is correctly configured and working. The location is %ProgramFiles%\Snow Software\Logs\Snow Integration Manager\*.log | Snow Inventory Server (This is default location of this tool. It may be installed elsewhere) | High | Weekly

Rebuild indexes and statistics in SnowInventory DB before License Manager Data Update job as per "Best Practices for Large Environments" doc. | This job runs before the Data Update Job, make sure that this job is scheduled correctly to prevent running this when the DUJ is running. Adjust the schedule if this overlaps the DUJ. | Microsoft SQL Server | Medium | Daily
| 5 | Rebuild indexes and statistics in SnowLicenseManager DB after License Manager Data Update Job as per "Best Practices for Large Environments" doc. | This job runs after the Data Update Job, make sure that this job is scheduled correctly to prevent running this when the DUJ is running.
