Company guidelines may require the restricting of large snowpacks from coming in. For example this could be due to:
- Performance / sizing impact on the Database.
- Policy dictating a certain file size.
- Prevention measures for a DDOS (distributed denial of service) attack.
OR
Snowpacks are rejected logging the error "The current file size [...] exceeds the configured maximum amount of processing file size [...]".
Snow Inventory Server 6.7.0 introduces the MaxProcessingFileSize setting under the FileProcessorModule module.
The maximum file size (in bytes) can be specified for a file to be processed. The default value is null, which allows an unlimited snowpack filesize.
If however the value is configured to something else other than the default, and the file to be processed is bigger than the configured value, the file is rejected, moved to the error folder, and a message is written to the log file: "The current file size [...] exceeds the configured maximum amount of processing file size [...]".
Example snowserver.config where it limits the snowpack filesize to 300 KB.
