These steps help you resolve the configuration conflict so your nodes can register correctly.

1. Check whether user-defined routing is enabled
   Confirm that your node pool uses outboundType: userDefinedRouting. This outbound type does not support nodes with public IP addresses.

2. Verify the enableNodePublicIP setting
   Locate the node pool configuration and check the enableNodePublicIP value. If it’s set to true, AKS blocks the node from registering when user-defined routing is enabled.

3. Update the node pool configuration
   Change the setting to disable the public IP:

4. Apply the updated configuration
   After you update the setting, apply the changes to your AKS cluster and trigger a new scale-up event.
