Introduction

After upgrading to 2025 R4 or a later version, you might notice that the Project Dashboard takes significantly longer to load.

The loading indicator may continue spinning for several minutes (typically 5–6 minutes, depending on project size). This delay is also visible in browser developer tools, where network calls (HAR logs) show long response times.

This issue occurs due to changes introduced in a recent upgrade that updated Hibernate from version 5 to version 6.

Symptoms

You may observe the following:

• The Project Dashboard takes several minutes to load.
• A loading spinner remains visible for an extended time.
• Slow API responses visible in browser developer tools (HAR file).
• Delay increases with larger project sizes.

Cause

In recent releases, Hibernate was upgraded from version 5 to version 6. As a result, some existing query methods are no longer compatible with Hibernate 6. These incompatible queries lead to slower execution times, which impact Dashboard loading performance.
