When performing a rollback of an Elastigroup, identifying previous configurations such as AMI IDs, BDM settings, and tag changes is crucial. This article explains how to use audit logs to determine the timeframe of configuration updates and review the exact changes in the console UI logs.
- In the Spot console, go to Settings → Audit and review the logs to determine the timeframe of the configuration updates.
- Open the Elastigroup page in the Spot console.
- In the Logs section, locate entries titled Updating Group Succeeded (view details).
- Use the timestamp filter in the UI logs to narrow the results to the timeframe identified from the audit logs.
- Select View details next to the relevant update event.
- In the Group Update Details window, compare the Before and After sections to view configuration changes.
- The Updating Group Succeeded event shows all changes, including AMI, capacity, BDM configuration, and tag updates.
- A color bar on the right side of the window provides a visual cue; clicking it directs you to the exact section where configuration changes occurred.
By combining the audit log timeframe with targeted UI log filtering, users can efficiently retrieve and verify previous Elastigroup configuration details for accurate rollback operations.
