When attempting to run a Snow Agent scan on a Unix system using the command sudo /opt/snow/snowagent scan you may receive a “command not found” error if you used an incorrect command to initiate the scan.
The scan command above is not valid for Snow Agent on Unix systems. The agent is distributed as a JAR file, which requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) to execute.
To perform a scan using Snow Agent for Unix, use the following command:
$ sudo java -jar snowagent.jar
If you are using a specific Java installation, specify the full path to the Java executable.
$ sudo <location of Java> -jar snowagent.jar
For example:
$ sudo /usr/bin/java/bin/java -jar snowagent.jarFor more details, see Manually initiate a scan.
