When you are unable to see cloud costs from the cost dashboard or cloud billing report, check if billing retrieval of the cloud account was successful by navigating to Inventory View > Tasks and filter by Generate Billing Reports.
If billing retrieval of a cloud account is failed in the task 'Generate Billing Records,' please open a support ticket with the diagnostics package. Please refer to the KB article - Submitting Snow Software Commander Diagnostics .
If you are unable to see costs although billing retrieval was successful, it's possible that you may use the filter inappropriately. For a public cloud account, it is recommended to use All Services/VMs for Organization filter in the cost dashboard and cloud billing report.
Cost Dashboard
Configure the Cost Analytics dashboard to make sure it is appropriately filtered:- Fromt he Cost Analytics Dashboard, click the filter icon. The Edit Cost Filter opens.
- For Organization, select All VMs/Services
Cloud Billing Report
Configure the Cloud Biilling report's configuration to make sure it is appropriately filtered:- Navigate to Reports > All Reports > Cloud Billing.
- For Organization, select All VMs/Services
- Click Add Advanced Filters. Then, add filter as Cloud Account is <your_cloud_account_name>
