How to Change the name of setup.exe to a file name of your choosing

Synopsis

When including a setup.exe with your installer, Installshield will by default choose to name this executable file "setup".

It is possible however to change the name of the setup file name to a filename of your choosing, for example : MyApp.exe

Discussion

The default value of "setup" for the setup file name can be seen within the Installshield project under the release settings:

Installation Designer > Media > Releases > Select your Product Configuration > General Tab > Setup File Name

Changing the value of "setup File Name" will cause installshield to build a setup file with your chosen name.
