For a COM+ Application to appear in the Component Services view, the COM+ Application must be defined on the system.Discussion
The InstallShield product includes the Component Services view to enable you to manage COM+ applications and components for your installation package. To view the available COM+ server applications:
1) In the View List under Server Configuration, click Component Services.
2) In the Component Services explorer, select the COM+ application that you would like to configure if you have not already done so.
The main goal of this article is to indicate:
1) For a COM+ Application to appear in the Component Services view, the COM+ Application has to have been created/defined/deployed to the client where the InstallShield product is installed.
Only the COM+ applications that are installed on the local machine are included in the Component Services view and available for you to add to your projects.
2) To create/define/deploy a COM+ Application on a system, one must use the Windows Component Services Administrative tool.
