EntryPoint Error when adding Installscript Custom Action.Symptoms
Error "EntryPoint: The new record duplicates primary keys of the existing record in a table." when adding a new InstallScript Custom action.Cause
This can happen if you remove an Installscript custom action from the CustomAction table through direct editor without removing the corresponding Entry in the ISInstallScriptAction table.Resolution
To fix the issue, add installscript custom actions until you no longer see the error when adding a new installscript custom action.Then go to Direct Editor->CustomAction Table, note the unneeded Entries for the problem Custom Actions you added, and note the Target.
Go to the ISInstallScriptAction and remove the entries with EntryPoints matching the Targets for the unneeded\problem custom actions.
Then remove the unneeded\problem custom actions from the CustomAction table.
