How do you add a new column to FlexNet Operations?

Question

Currently, when adding a new user or new organization, there is a set of pre-defined input fields like Org Type, Org Name, Address, etc. Are these fields configurable? In other words, is it possible to add other custom entry fields? We'd like to be able to add a field that we can use to distinguish organizations as a customer, partner, or trial org.

Answer

You can add an available column to your FLEXnet Operations web view by modifying the OPS_PORTAL_CONFIG table in the database. Find the correct FIELD_NAME and toggle the DISPLAY_YN to 1 for yest or 0 for no. For example, if you wanted to display the Total Copies column under entitlements, you'd modify the FIELD_NAME portal.manageEntitlements.TableColumn.TotalCopies by changing DISPLAY_YN from a 0 to 1. Afterward, you need to bring down your FNO server and restart it for the change to take effect.
