Summary

This article provides steps to create a local application within FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS)/Flexera One. There are several methods that can be used, this article will detail two different methods.

Creating an application starting with the Application evidence

1. Navigate to any one of the following pages under the License Compliance section
   • Unrecognized Evidence
   • Discovered Evidence
   • Inactive Evidence
   • All Evidence
2. Use the filters or search box to identify the piece or pieces of evidence that you want to link to your new application. 
   
   

    

3. Use the check box to highlight the piece or pieces of evidence needed, and click on the ‘Assign’ button 
   

    

4. Navigate to the top of the page, and select the ‘Create an application’ button 
   • It may take a few moments to load the next page after clicking the ‘Create an application’ button
     

      

5. Review the prepopulated details about this application for accuracy.

• This area is editable if inaccurate information is found
• Optionally at this stage, you can add more Installer or File evidence using the application’s ‘Evidence’ tab.
  
  

   

7. Select the ‘Create’ button to save the application 
   
   

    

Creating an application starting with the application details

1. Navigate to any one of the following pages under the License Compliance section, and select the ‘Create an application button’
• All Applications
• Installed Applications
• Unmanaged Applications
• Managed Applications
• Deferred Applications
• Ignored Applications
  
  

   

2. Starting on the General tab, fill in as much information as you have for the application
   The following fields are required: 
• Product
• Name
  

   

3. For your new application to be consumed, you must add Installer evidence or File Evidence. To add evidence to the application, navigate to the Evidence tab
4. Use the Search box to look up the name of the Installer or File evidence that you want to add
5. Use the check box to select the evidence
6. Select the ‘Add Evidence’ Button to add the evidence as needed
7. Repeat steps 4-6 as needed
   
   

    

8. Select the ‘Create’ button to save the application 
   

    

Once create your local application can be used in the same ways as applications provided to you in ARL updates.
