How to link applications to a license created from a SKU when no applications are linked.

Synopsis

When a license is created from a SKU, the applications covered by the license are normally determined by the application associations available for that SKU. However, some SKUs may not have applications associated with them, or the available SKU information may not be sufficient to identify the appropriate applications.

In this situation, the license may be created without any applications listed on its Applications tab. The appropriate applications can be linked to the license manually.

Resolution

Before linking an application, confirm that it is covered by the license agreement and the purchased SKU.

Open the license that was created from the SKU.
Select the Applications tab.
In the Applications section, enter the application name, or a search pattern that matches the required application.
Select Search.
Review the matching applications and select the application or applications covered by the license.
Select Add applications.
Select Save.

The license’s Applications tab lists the applications and products covered by the license and allows the links between applications and the license to be managed manually.
