Synopsis

When trying to create standard requests(getProductsQuery etc.), using SOAP UI tool sends back a response in error, saying: 'Not licensed to execute Web Services'.

Discussion

Please check the FlexNet Operations license you are using for FlexNet Operations instance. Looks like you are missing the INCREMNET line. The features that are needed for web services to work are:

• FLEXnet Operations licenses to enable executing Web services
• FLEXnet_Platform.Primary
• FLEXnet_Ops.LicGeneration
• FLEXnet_Ops.IntgLicGeneration
• FLEXnet_Ops.LicChgMgmt (if license lifecycle operations will be performed using Web services)
• FLEXnet_Ops.IntgLicChgMgmt (if license lifecycle operations will be performed using Web services)
• FLEXnet_Ops.FeatureOverride (if features will be created with license string or duplicate grouping settings that override these settings in license models).

Workaround

Once these features are available web services works fine.

Additional Information

Customer case, earlier they were using a nodelocked (HOSTID=DEMO) based license file for FNO 12.7 eval. Orders sent them a floating license for FNO 12.7 eval, that resolved the issue.
