This article discusses how to prevent dialogs from being called in an installation.

For Dialogs Being Called via InstallScript

1. Locate the dialog to be removed within setup.rul.

2. Comment out the dialog using the "//" characters. Example:

   //Dlg_SdCustomerInformation://nResult = SdCustomerInformation(szTitle, svName, svCompany, nUser);//if (nResult = BACK) goto Dlg_SdWelcome;

3. Locate following dialog (next in sequence) and change the goto value to reflect the dialog immediately before the removed dialog. Example:

   Dlg_SetupType:szTitle = "";szMsg = "";nResult = SetupType(szTitle, szMsg, "", nSetupType, 0);if (nResult = BACK) then  goto Dlg_SdWelcome;

4. Compile and build project.

For Dialogs Being Called Via MSI

1. Locate the dialog to be removed.

2. Select the Behavior option.

3. Record the Back and Next Argument dialog values.

4. Modify the Back and Next Argument to bypass the dialog to be removed.

5. Build and run project.

Note: Pay careful attention to ensure that the dialogs do not have dead links.
