REST API WSUUID but no API to get WSUUID

This article describes how to gather the WSUUID required for a number of FlexNet Code Insight REST API calls

Synopsis

According to the REST API documentation, to trigger a scan a parameter is the WSUUID but there is no API to list or identify these UUIDs. Can you provide documentation that describes where this parameter can come from and/or the definition of what it is where we can find it?

Discussion

The WSUUID is available from the FlexNet Code Insight database using the following query:

SELECT WORKSPACE_UUID_ FROM pas_project_workspace WHERE WORKSPACE_NAME_ LIKE '%%';

The WSUUID can also be gathered through the use of the public Java API's which includes the Workspace Locator Cover. Full documentation for the Workspace Locator Cover as well as a sample script to retrieve workspace details including the Workspace UUID is available on page 15 of the FlexNet Code Insight Public API Getting Started Guide for each version on FlexNet Code Insight.
