SAPReader process may fail with error when uploading very large SAP data set: "System.IO.IOException: Stream was too long."

Summary

When the SAPReader process attempts to extract and upload a very large amount of data from SAP, the process may fail with an error like the following appearing in logging: test

2020-12-03 16:09:43,923 [SAPReader.SAPReader |(null)] [ERROR] An error has occurred in the SAP Inventory Agent: Stream was too long.
System.IO.IOException: Stream was too long.

Symptoms

The following error and stack trace will appear in logging in the SAPReader.log file when this issue occurs:

Fix status

This issue is still open but not currently scheduled to be addressed.
