Synopsis

InstallShield 2013 Service Pack 1 includes improvements and resolves issues. It is recommended that all users of InstallShield 2013 (Premier, Professional, and Express) and InstallShield 2013 Developer Installation Manifest Editor install this update. An updated version of the Standalone Build is also available.
If you are using a concurrent license of InstallShield, note that InstallShield 2013 SP1 requires a new version of the FlexNet Licensing Server software on the licensing server. This article also explains how to obtain the new version.

Discussion

To obtain and apply the Service Pack 1 patch for InstallShield 2013:
  1. Ensure that the Premier, Professional, or Express edition of InstallShield 2013 is installed, or that InstallShield 2013 Developer Installation Manifest Editor is installed.
  2. Download the appropriate patch:
    English
    Japanese
    The patches are also available in the Flexera Software Product and License Center.
  3. Double-click the file and complete the update.
To obtain the updated Standalone Build:

An updated version of the Standalone Build is now available as a full installation (not as a patch); you must uninstall the earlier version of the InstallShield 2013 Standalone Build before installing this new version. To obtain the installation for the updated version of the Standalone Build, visit the Flexera Software Product and License Center.
(For concurrent licenses) To obtain the updated version of the FlexNet Licensing Server software:
Download the FlexNet Licensing Server software installation and run it on your licensing server machine.
If you are using a concurrent license of InstallShield, note that InstallShield 2013 SP1 requires a new version of the FlexNet Licensing Server software on the licensing server. InstallShield 2013 SP1 cannot connect to a license server that is running an earlier version of the FlexNet Licensing Server software; that is, it cannot connect to a license server that is running the version of FlexNet Licensing Server software that was released with the original released version of InstallShield 2013.
