Windows has a built in limit for a single compressed setup.exe that can be successfully run and Windows will not load an executable file that is greater than 4GB - 1 byte in size.

Discussion

An installation over 4 GB (compressed into a single setup.exe) run on Windows will return a ERROR_BAD_EXE_FORMAT. System error code: 193 0xC1 Description: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

Workaround

Installations over 4 GB should not be compressed or files should be removed until it is under the size limit.
