Product News: FlexNet Operations On-Premises 2025 R1 is Now Available
FlexNet Operations On-Premises 2025 R1 is available for download from the Product and License Center.
The highlights of this release include:
- Major enhancements in entitlement management, device management, and user experience.
- Security is strengthened with token-based API authentication and vulnerability fixes.
- Numerous bug fixes improve reliability across installation, upgrade, and daily operations.
- Some known issues remain and are being tracked for future releases.
The release includes the following enhancements:
- Entitlement & Fulfillment Merging: Improved merging process for entitlements, fulfillments, and users, with confirmation messages and navigation options after successful merges.
- Error Handling: Enhanced error messaging for obsolete/inactive line items, helping producers quickly identify activation issues.
- Product Line Visibility: System administrators can now view all product lines, including those created by other users, with a new configuration option.
- Trial Activation ID Prefix: Producers can customize trial activation ID prefixes, making it easier to match existing licenses.
- Zero Copies Configuration: Overhauled configuration for displaying line items with zero copies, now functioning correctly in both Producer and End-User Portals.
- Electronic Software Delivery (ESD): Producers can restrict visibility of expired software downloads for end-users, improving control over software access.
- Embedded Devices Management: Added support for multiple signature strengths for standalone devices; publishers can add/delete strengths using updated utilities.
- User & Role Management: Producers can export user roles and permissions, with a new Permission column in the export file.
- Device Management: Bulk updates for device account info; device history now includes user details; returned standalone devices can be reassigned.
- SOAP & REST Web Services: New operations for zero mapping of activation IDs; fulfillment/license info for non-embedded tech; UserAcctHierarchyService returns users from all related accounts.
- User Experience: Improved transaction visibility, streamlined interactions, and reduced clicks in the Producer Portal.
