Add the required metadata labels
Add the following labels to your kOps cluster configuration. These labels enable automatic headroom and define the percentage of spare capacity you want to maintain.

spotinst.io/autoscaler-auto-config: "true"
spotinst.io/autoscaler-auto-headroom-percentage: "20"
spotinst.io/ocean-default-launchspec: "true"

Apply these labels to your InstanceGroup configuration
Here’s an example of how these labels can be added to an InstanceGroup manifest:

Apply your updated configuration
After you update your InstanceGroup definition, apply your kOps changes to update the cluster.
