Introduction

Linux Installer

1. Open a terminal before launching the installer.
2. Set the required environment variables.

   NOTE: Based on the shell being used, a different command may be used instead, such as setenv.

   export LAX_DEBUG=1
   export _JAVA_OPTIONS="-Dlax.debug.all=true -Dlax.debug.level=4"

3. (Optional) Set the following to save debug output to a file instead of the console:

   export LAX_DEBUG=file

   This creates a jx.log file with debug output.

4. Run the installer

Windows Installer

1. Enable verbose mode by setting the system environment variable:
   

   _JAVA_OPTIONS="-Dlax.debug.all=true -Dlax.debug.level=4"

2. Launch the installer while holding down the Ctrl key. This opens a console window that displays debug output.

After enabling verbose logging, you’ll see detailed installer output either in the console or in log files.
