Issue
- Snow License Manager license key cannot be activated due to server disconnected from the Internet
Environment
- Snow License Manager (SLM) 8.x.x and 9.x.x
Resolution
In the event your Snow License Manager server is managed offline and is not connected to the internet, it is needed after installation to activate the license key offline.
Snow Support can help you with this task, and all you need to do it to create a support ticket on the Support Portal, with the subject "Activation Code for Snow License Manager" or similar
The following information will be required from you to generate an activation code :
- The Company Name your license key is registered to
- Your Current active license key for Snow License Manager
- The Hardware ID of your Snow License Manager server
Open the Web Configurator for Snow License Manager and navigate to the License tab.exclamation mark will be displayed with a button below it for activation:
- When selecting Activate, a new window will appear where you can select online activation or offline activation.
- The offline activation will display the Hardware ID:
- After gathering the information, send it to Support through opening a new support case.
- Support will then generate and send you an Activation Key
- You can copy and paste the key as shown below.
- Note: Please make sure no spaces are included
- After this is done, the license key should look like below.
- Then click Apply.
